Minding Your Words

A lasting marriage – some useful tips.

My parents gave me this advice about marriage. They have been married since the 1960s and are still happily married to each other.

In marriage, when an argument is about to blow up, remember that takes 2 hands to clap. When one party is angry, the other should be understanding and not argue back. The calmer party should try to listen the cry, the hurt behind the upset.

Marriage is a life long journey together. Not simply a boat you get on together and get off when it does not work out. Check out www.wedding-ideas.net/Tips-for-a-lasting-marriage.htm for the full article.

Look at the old couples who are still together after so many decades. Their love has matured from a passionate lust to a deep, lasting love. How did they do it?

Every relationship has its ups and downs. You have to work at your marriage.

As you go through life together, you are bound to irritate one another. Nothing is so smooth as the movies might want you to believe. Little things that never bothered you initially might start getting on your nerves. That is normal. Your spouse is not perfect. Neither are you.

Marriage is about love. Love is about acceptance. Forgiveness. A love that is deeper than a rush of passionate lust. Tolerance. Of adapting to one another.

All humans are tempted. Temptation is everywhere. Succumbing to temptation and having an affair could mean the end of a marriage, or at very least endangering it greatly. Always remember your spouse. Consciously stay faithful to protect your marriage.

The True about the Plausible Sources that Spark off Balding

The common causes of bald-headedness are a few and the majority of the time are abundant by fallacy. However the largest part of the main five reasons of hair loss are fully established. Age could be for sure a central aspect that starts balding because it concerns hormones and weakens the human defence procedure. Illness and more precisely fungal contagion or sarcoma of the head-skin tissues, without doubt damage hair, even though this is not permanent. Genetics is a reason of bald-headedness in a small number of persons as tight braiding, or inadequate diet. Hair beauty stuff if not checked or if extremely filled with chemical elements, can genuinely harm the skin tissues of the skull.

Reshape The Family Diet /Cyndi Thomas, ND

Reshape The Family Diet — Avoid Dinnertime Trouble

by Cyndi Thomas, ND

When I announced that my family needed to change its diet somewhat… well, to say my children weren’t as excited as me would be an understatement.

More than once they cried: What? Salad again! When are we going to have some real food?

My understanding reply was usually, “This is dinner…eat it or starve.” After all, I had taken it upon myself to get my family in the best possible health — NO MATTER WHAT!

I had decided no more junk food. We were going to sprout alfalfa and have produce delivered by truck once a week. We were going to have meals made up of just fruits and vegetables. We were going to drink juice made from… gulp, barley grass and carrots. My kids were going to be thrilled with the change!

So I sat them down — all seven of them — and gave a brilliant lecture on the importance of good nutrition. I even had charts and graphs. I knew that once they understood, the change wouldn’t be a problem at all. After all, I had intelligent kids. They would understand. Right? Wrong!

C’mon mom… do you really mean no more hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, brownies, potato chips and soda pop. You don’t expect me to give up soda pop — DO YOU?

I no longer recommend anyone do what I did. My path to healthy living was paved with good intentions. But my family suffered the potholes that accompanied my attempt to overhaul their eating habits overnight.

You won’t have to endure as much agony. I’ve compiled a few guidelines to make such a transition easier for the caring mother (or father) wanting what’s best for her or his family:
1. Do not say anything to the family about what is to transpire. (The exception here is if the family already has an excellent, above-average level of communication and they would rather have apples instead of Ding-Dongs for dessert!) So like I said, “Don’t say anything.”

2. Without comment — and over a period of months — the meals should gradually become more nutritious.

3. To complement to the regular meat main course, you serve lightly steamed vegetables and a tossed green salad. Less high-fat dairy products, fried foods, pre-prepared foods and canned foods appear on the table.

4. Make a deal with the kids: We eat like I say five days a week… twice weekly, you can pick the menu. Most kids would be agreeable to that. Mine were. Of course, it took me a month to realize the importance of letting them choose occasionally.

(It was during that month that my then 16-year-old son came home one night with two large pepperoni pizzas. He walked in with a smile and a grin-delivered greeting: “Gee mom, you work so hard. I thought I’d take care of dinner tonight!” With his minimum wage salary from sacking groceries, takeout pizza was something he couldn’t afford very often.)
The transition is much smoother when mom AND Dad agree on the diet change. Still the rule is the less fanfare, the better. Slowly introduce more nutritious menus and set a good example of eating and enjoying. Make positive comments about how good the vegetables taste — and how good they are for the body.

If questions are raised as to why the menus are different, be honest and direct: “We’ve been reading (or the doctor told us — or Bob and Mary have been telling us) that junk food makes our bodies sick.”

Follow with statements on how much better you have been feeling since eating “right” and comment on any noticed changes in the children’s health or behavior. For example: “Johnny, you sure have been easier to get out of bed in the mornings since we’ve changed our diet.”

Don’t neglect an opportunity to point out to the children when a slip away from healthful eating produces direct negative physical discomfort. Whether it’s affecting you (“Boy, that ice cream sure gave me a headache!”) or them (“Johnny, see how you are acting since you’ve eaten that piece of cake?”

Keep the “wrong” food out of the house. That way your kids won’t be tempted into eating something they shouldn’t. If you must go to the store to get something, you will often think twice about whether it’s needed — OR NOT.

Children learn by example. A household that manages food properly will help children adopt healthy eating habits.

Here are a few quick additional tips:

• Praise your child’s efforts to make better dietary choices.
• Stock the pantry with healthy foods.
• Provide balanced meals at regular times.
• Keep snacks healthy (raw fruits, veggies, etc.)
• Lead by example. You MUST also eat healthy.
• Reward good behavior with nonfood items, such as CDs and clothes.

Changing a lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated. Slow and steady always wins the race.

My pop drinker rarely indulges anymore. My sugar addict gets a headache when she indulges. My younger ones can’t eat off the children’s menu at restaurants — they don’t offer salads on the kid’s menu!

And, my husband totally avoids dairy to keep his allergies from becoming a problem.

Are we perfect? Of course not. But we now spend more time eating the right things as opposed to the wrong. And it does get easier with time.

I know your family is worth the effort. And someday they will realize how right you were and maybe even thank you for it!

Play dough:
3 cups flour, 1-1/2 cups salt, 1-1/2 cups water, 2 tbs. oil, food coloring

Not to be eaten just played with.

Finger paints:
3 tbs. sugar, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 2 cups cold water, food coloring
Mix sugar and cornstarch in pan. Add water and stir. Cook over medium heat, stirring constanty. Mixture will boil, then thicken. Cook about 5 mins. Remove from heat; cool. Separate into 4-5 cups. Add food coloring a drop at a time. Add a drop of dish detergent in each cup to make clean-up a breeze.
Paint on paper, cardboard or posterboard.

Soap bubbles:

Teach Your Children Positive Self Image Through Fitness

How to teach your children at an early age to have a positive self-image and good self-esteem. Includes tips for incorporating fitness into your family’s life to help with positive body-image.
Raising a pre-teen or teenage daughter (or son) is not easy and can cause any parent a lot of stress. There’s so much to worry about – dating, drugs, alcohol, sex, school grades, just to name a few. But one crucial element often gets overlooked until it manifests itself in extreme ways (like through an eating disorder). I’m talking about self-image. It’s extremely important that parents ensure that their children have a positive self-image, especially in relation to their body.

The key to ensuring strong self-esteem and a positive body image starts with the parent. If you don’t feel positive about your self-image, then how can you expect your children to? While this is important for both genders, it is especially critical for raising a healthy daughter. And beginning the lessons when a girl is young is imperative, so don’t wait until it’s too late – teaching your daughter to feel good about her body needs to start at a very young age.

Eating disorder experts say girls are developing eating disorders as young as 5 and 6 years old. And a recent study indicated that 70% of the sixth-grade girls they surveyed said they began worrying about their weight between ages 9 and 11. Why are so many young girls thinking that they are fat? Many are obsessing about their weight because they have parents who are preoccupied with their own poor body images.

While the statistics are disheartening, the good news is that there’s a lot that can be done to help our children have positive self-images. And, even small changes that parents make can help. Here are few tips to help your children avoid warped and negative body images:

Establish a “no diet talk” rule. When your children are nearby, DON’T talk about dieting or how fat you feel! This is extremely important. Remember, kids are listening all the time (even when you think that they aren’t – especially then). So, even though asking your spouse or friend “do I look fat in this?” may seem innocent, it can have a life-altering effect on your kids when they repeatedly hear it.

Parents aren’t the only adults that influence their children. Set the “no diet talk” rule mentioned above for all adults that are around your children. This means you shouldn’t allow your friends, parents, siblings, neighbors, or anyone else to talk about being fat or being on a diet when they are around your children.

Set a good example. If your children never see you engage in fitness or if they hear you complain about working out, then they are going to have a negative image of exercise. Let them know that you workout to stay healthy, to be strong and to have more energy and stamina (so you can keep up with them)!

Get your kids involved in sports. Experts say that playing sports really helps build confidence and improves self-esteem (especially for girls).

Teach your children to include physical activity as part of their daily routine. But don’t force them to exercise. Make sure that the physical activity is seen as something fun to do rather than teaching them to think of exercise as a necessary evil. Good activities include taking a nightly family walk, turning off the t.v. and instead turning music on that you all can dance to, or taking a weekend family bike ride.

Try to prepare (or if you are short are time purchase) healthy meals. And teach them the importance of good nutrition. Don’t let them have the misconception that there are “good” and “bad” foods. If a kid thinks that candy is a “bad” food, then naturally they will just want it more. Just try to encourage your kids to eat a balanced diet each day and to eat sugary and/or fatty foods in moderation.

Remember that something as small as talking about losing weight in front of your kids can have very detrimental effects on their self-image as they age. Damaging behavior learned from a parent at a young age can take years for a child to overcome. So, the sooner you start incorporating the tips above into your life, the better for you child. But don’t forget that it has to start with you – make sure that you are incorporating healthy fitness and eating rituals into your daily routine and that you have a positive body image (no matter what your size or shape is)!

Lake Michigan Fishing Charter Presentation Tips

In previous articles we covered some ways to present lures in early summer. This time of year look for most of your fish in the top 50 feet. Keep your eye on your locator and also work deeper marks when you see them. My experience this time of year is the deeper fish are less active and tend not to bite. Most often you will not mark well above 30 feet because those fish are out side the cone of your locator’s transducer. The primary presentations I use at this time of year are planer boards, dipsy divers and leadcore. If your budget allows, I would recommend trying a leadcore line set up. This presentation will work when all others are dead. The basics of leadcore are simple. The most expensive part is the reel. It must have enough line capacity to handle the leadcore line plus mono and Power Pro 50 pound for a total of anywhere from 300 half core to 600 yards two cores. I run my half cores or five colors on Daiwa 47H. This is the smallest reel a half core will fit on. Line counter reels are not necessary. Leadcore sinks at a rate of 4-5 feet per color. A half core will run about 24 feet deep. When loading this reel, start with 300 yards of Power Pro 50 pound then strip the lead out of the end of the leadcore and tie a Willis Knot to the leadcore. Finish with a Willis Knot and 30 feet of a 20-pound monofilament to a ball bearing cross lock snap. You will need a heavy action 8-foot rod to work with lead. You may run this with a planer board if you are going to use multiple set ups. Snap on your favorite lure and let out all of the line to the Power Pro. Then install your board so it does not release. I usually run them 150 feet off each side of the boat. Very wide turns and low boat traffic are a must to avoid tangles and getting run over. I set my drags light. When the reel starts to scream, adjust the drag as necessary. Reel in the line until you can reach the board and hand release it. Now the line is clear to bring in the fish. I don’t fish lead early in the morning. I use it when the early bite is over. Some of my biggest fish are that I have gotten the best fishing pictures of were caught on this presentation.

Graduation Diplomas For All

High School Diplomas

High school diplomas are official documents that are awarded to the students after accomplishing and succeeding in their studies. In many countries it is considered as the minimal academic requirements for professional jobs particularly in government sectors. They act as evidence to prove that the student has pursued high school education. Sometime back high school diplomas
were made of parchment as well as sheepskin and they were hand written. This is because making of papers was very hard and they were not durable. Nowadays, diplomas are made of a high quality fine paper and they are printed hence they are durable. The size of the diplomas is that of A4.

Some graphics can be used to write the information required in the document hence this makes it look attractive. Borders are also put in the diplomas to make them look organized. High school diplomas can be made of various colors depending on the choice of the institution. Common colors that are used are pink, blue, cream and bright gold. However, there are different types of diplomas that are provided in high school among them is honor diploma that requires particular number of advanced placement. Diploma should be kept in a diploma cover for them to be well maintained.

Nurse Lazarus Raises the Dead and Runs a Neat Newsworthy Net

“Nurse Lazarus” Runs a Neat Newsworthy Net Business

by Nancy R. Fenn

The emphasis today is on working from home with an internet business. We’re talking today with Margaret Loris, the Sunhealer. Margaret has an international healing practice based out of Chicago. She markets and promotes her business on the internet and has for years. A successful entrepreneur and gifted healer, Loris travels around the world presenting workshops with the latest healing techniques, explaining to people how they can change their basic DNA programming to bring more success and happiness into their lives.

Fenn: Margaret, in a day and age when so many people would like to have an international business that is successful on the internet, how did you get started?

Loris: I’ve been a healer from the day I was born. Ever since I was a child I would automatically know things that would help and heal people. When I reached six years of age, I loved God so much that I wanted to be a priest and give everyone Holy Communion.

Fenn: You didn’t think about becoming a nun? You must have a clear relationship with your own power.

Loris: Yes, I’m a woman who’s not afraid of power. I use my power to help others.

Fenn: Did you find support in your childhood environment for your healing gifts?

Loris: I could see auras and thought that everyone else could too. I never really paid much attention to it, so nobody else made a big deal of it either. Later when I began studying healing techniques, that’s when everything finally started to fit together and I could use my inner talents more beneficially.

Fenn: How did you start your healing practice?

Loris: I didn’t start it right away. I was a registered nurse specializing in transplants for about twenty one years. I worked in Florida at that time. The work was demanding and satisfying in a way, I mean sometimes we could save someone’s life. But I couldn’t help thinking, what if these people could have healed themselves? What if they didn’t have to go to this extreme in the surgery room?

Fenn: You sound like a healer all right. Did the doctors and other nurses know your powers?

Loris: Yes, they certainly did. I remember as an operating room nurse in a trauma hospital, a neurosurgeon called me Nurse Lazarus, because he said I could bring back the dead. Others would comment on how easily their surgeries went and quickly their patients healed when I worked with them. This is when I knew for sure I was a healer. All my years as an operating nurse plus my healing studies have all given me a complete view of all types and methods of healing techniques. I saw an article this week about God and healing on a national magazine. The world is getting ready for breakthroughs in healing and we’re ready, too!

Fenn: What other healing techniques and methods did you study?

Loris: I graduated from Barbara Brennan’s four-year training program in 1995.

Fenn: For readers who don’t know Barbara Brennan, can you tell us a little about that?

Loris: It’s a school that teaches you how to clean, balance, repair, and center a person’s energy field.

Fenn: I know that must have been a very fulfilling experience. What else did you train in?

Loris: I’m certified in the Australian Living Flower Essences Academy and am trained as a Rapid Eye Technician.

Fenn: Tell us more!

Loris: Rapid Eye Technology is a spiritual therapy that relieves emotional stress. Flower essences are natural health elixirs derived from flowers. Australia uses flower essences in their hospitals and write about their effects in the nursing journals.

Fenn: I can see that gives you a variety of healing methods to work with.

Loris: I wanted to have a full range of abilities, so I also received a Master’s Degree in the Science of Esoteric Psychology.

Fenn: What’s that?

Loris: It’s healing through contact with your soul and becoming soul infused.

Fenn: Wow. And did you say you are ordained in Kabalah course?

Loris: Yes, I’m very proud of my ordination with the third degree of Karin Kabalah. I was ordained at Saint Thomas Christian Church in Atlanta. This gives me the ability to give Kabalistic healings and anoint the dying. I can enter hospitals now as a healing minister and perform healings there as well.

Fenn: It sounds like you’ve been all over the world. Many readers would like to build a healing practice like this and have the independence to work for themselves. Who are some of your mentors, people you admire in the healing arts?

Loris: Vianna Stibal, of course! I spend most of my time now teaching people Vianna’s DNA healing techniques. As I was saying, I hoped one day to see people heal themselves before they have serious surgeries. Vianna cured herself of cancer using the methods I now teach others.

Fenn: Why is it called DNA?

Loris: Because this technique permits us to go to the original genetic blueprint, our DNA, and reconstruct it. We remove negative energies and patterning. We replace it with positive healing energy.

Fenn: Can anyone learn this?

Loris: Oh, yes. I teach everyone from advanced healers to ordinary people who are ready to take that next step. I think that’s what the Aquarian Age is all about … we have the power to heal ourselves and the time is right now! It is also something someone could use to start their own healing practice, just like I have. In no time, you’ll be travelling all over the world, too!

Fenn: You built up a practice that is worldwide. Can you tell us a little about that?

Loris: Yes, I’d be glad to. When you have a program that really works, word gets around. Most of my workshops now are by referral but there was a time when I need a good deal of marketing on the internet. I was one of the first to have my own website and I’ve always enjoyed keeping in touch with people that way.

Fenn: In a time when many people are hesitant to travel, it doesn’t bother you to go the distance, as they say?

Loris: I feel very much in the light when I’m doing my work and I do not feel that I would be in danger of anything negative happening.

Fenn: I notice you also call yourself the Crystal Lady. What’s that all about?

Loris: I’m a person who uses all the kingdoms for healing. Crystals are really great to use on the physical body. It seems that my healings are stronger and more powerful when I use them.

Fenn: And who’s that I see sitting next to you as we’re talking?

Loris: That’s Fritzl, my power animal. Fritzl is my pet dachshund. Fritzl has inspired me to offer a whole line of natural health and healing products for pets. I also publish a monthly newsletter full of tips and techniques to keep your pet healthy, the natural way. We call it the Fritzl Flash for Fur People and it’s very popular.

Fenn: Fritzl certainly looks healthy to me! I’d like to thank you both for being here today and having the interview. When’s your next workshop?

Loris: I’m giving a workshop next month in Holland.

Fenn: How can our readers find out more?

Loris: Contact me at margaret@sunhealer.com or visit my website www.sunhealer.com
