TomTom Is Coming to the iPod Touch
Users of the iPod touch will soon be able to navigate using the TomTom navigation system on their phones. The company announced on Thursday that they are to launch a special car kit for de touch sensitive iPod
Due to the fact that the iPod doesn’t have a built in GPS-chip, navigation seems like it may be a problem. Just like the car kit for the iPhone, TomTom’s latest car kit has a built-in navigation chip. This allows the iPod to accurately locate where you are at the moment.
The car kit also has a built-in speaker so the TomTom directions won’t be drowned out by the noise of the engine. If that isn’t enough for you then there is one more thing that you can do and that is to connect it directly to your car speakers.
Connectivity is big business and with the domination of the iPhone in the Smartphone market and the market leadership of TomTom as navigation system this marriage seems like it was made in heaven. iPhone applications are constantly being developed for all types of companies as people are constantly on the go and are demanding accessibility to all technologies via their phone.
