Minding Your Words

Learn How to Entrance: Take a Conversational Hypnosis Course

Although the frequent subject of dispute, several practitioners use and promote programs such as Underground Hypnosis as strong techniques. It’s inaccurate to describe hypnosis as “mind control”for the well known saw concerning mind over matter remains true; you can effectively educate the subject and assuage, perhaps even treat, mental, physical as well as emotional problems by use of the subconscious. This could be something like paying attention to a specific TV program or doing something silly to working against mental disorder and surmounting various addictions. And when put to use by someone who knows what they’re doing, there’s effectively no danger. Let us turn to Underground Hypnosis, as well as comparable forms of conversational hypnosis, and look at the desired end; inducing a trance state. You can typically bring them so deep into trance. How deeply the subject descends into the trance is influenced by things like their emotional status, personality, and hypnotist’s ability.

The lightest touch of trance can be detected as they initially begin to declench certain smaller muscles. A desire to nod off comes to the fore following this, and further muscles relaxing may lead to drooping eyelids. You’ll watch shoulders slump as a deeper trance state fills the subject with surprising speed. Picture being able to perceive only one person. A seasoned hypnotist can do this by taking you into a deep enough trance. Following this, the subject is sensitive to compulsion by hypnotic suggestion and controlled by their unconscious mind. Going further it becomes possible to suppress recollection of given situations – or to block physical feeling, causing you not to register a touch or pain in a given area.

Beyond that lies hallucination and altered perceptions; you can ultimately bring yourself to a state like that experienced when undergoing general anesthetic. As a matter of fact, individuals might be ready for a medical procedure at this point without anesthetic or painkillers.

You won’t learn ways you can achieve that level via Underground Hypnosis, but remember that kind of depth is seldom necessary. In the majority of cases, the first two levels we covered are more than sufficient. So look into the Underground Hypnosis program – anybody, even you, can sign up. After devoting a little time to reading and a little more time rehearsing the things you’ve learned, you’ll swiftly become quite a skilled hypnotist. So why worry? Step up and learn.

My Hair Loss Journey

I never minded when women stroked or even pulled my hair. However, one morning while I was brushing my teeth, I soon experienced the first telltale signs of hair loss: there was hair in the sink and the top of my head was noticeably less full than the crown and sides of my head. I would never have imagined that I would suffer from hair loss: Most of the men in my family have a full head of hair. .

I felt that I lost my self-assurance, once I noticed the thinning strands. I no longer wanted to comb my hair, wore caps as much as possible, and felt self conscious. My girlfriend and I weren’t as intimate as we were because I was anxious about her discovering the thinning patch on top of my head. My anxiousness was through the roof and my performance at work declined due to the inability to focus.

Thankfully, I found Advanced Hair Studio. One of my mates told me about them over a few beers. As far as I recalled, he has been bald ever since I knew him. However, one day at the gym, I observed his hair looked full and fresh. He told me that Advanced Hair Studio was to thank.

I was convinced that it is the solution for me, I bought my first Advanced Hair Studio products and had them delivered overnight. The results were immediate: my hair felt stronger and thicker in just a few days. A month later and the thinning patch that caused me to worry myself sick was full of hair. I’d never before thought anti-balding products worked. However, after my experience with Advanced Hair Studio, I now know that there are products out there that can save men a lot of stress, grief, and worrying.

The Perfect Environment: Garden Studios

There’s nothing that splits individuals as the topic of working from home. In one half of the debate, people say telecommuting is marvelous, you have no commute, no lost time by merely having to be in one location for a set time, no purposeless meetings, no tedious small-talk around the water cooler. On the other side of the argument, others say they simply couldn’t muster up the self-discipline that’s needed to work at home. They’d be a little bit reluctant to send any customers to their house. There’s just too many things going on in the house to even begin the day. Lastly, the office is great simply because they wish to escape the house.

Now there is an alternative for these critics of telecommuting : garden studios. Garden studios are constructed in your garden, isolated from your home. A garden office gives you an opportunity to function in a composed, free thinking surrounding, with greenery viewable from your office windows, and a quiet location to conduct get togethers.

The idea that the garden studio is isolated from your house is a crucial one. It gives you an opportunity to break away from home life to work. Using technology like the internet and VOIP, it’s easy to obtain a separate phone number just for the garden office.

Think about other advantages of a garden studio:-

- The development costs for such offices are low when you consider renting costs for office space.
– They’re environmentally friendly : the journey from house to garden office takes only human footprints (as opposed to carbon footprints).
- That tiny journey spares you a great deal of fuel costs, and might even mean your household requires only one car.
- You can conduct business at anytime of the day. Creative juices don’t mechanically run from 9-5PM, so if you have a new plan, or simply want to finish off a project in good time, step into the garden studio.
- It’s a comfortable, incandescent, natural surrounding. No sick building syndrome here. No glaring lights, grey partitions and non-specific drone a typical office has.

Garden studios can pay for themselves fairly quickly, and repayments on a loan for a garden office can be similar, or cheaper than, office rental costs.

Optimistically Enjoying a Quality Dating Service in Denver

Sometimes I am not so miserable, but I didn’t always have Great Expectations for my dating life. I finally bottomed out, this week I filed three years of back taxes. During my birthday party of datelessness, duh! Don’t judge me (j/k!). Am I crazy? Well, that’s the moment when I first considered getting out to date in Dallas or Denver.

Easy solution. I can mix up my social life with this Dallas dating service. And it never sounded better. Prolly wouldn’t be an issue, but it is. When I was a little tipsy at Julie’s soccer finals in Dallas this afternoon, Jim had to know if I’ve bumped into my soulmate. They always bring this up, every year. I didn’t want to answer, but then laughed, “I’m eating here, and no.”

And of course The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) kept pressing me about my personal matters. I joked to each of them: “Hey look, do you even know me?”

Guess what? They smiled politely. Shortly after, I went to the gym because the dating pressure was too much. What a waste of time! I would have learned more by asking my son. Nina, who was just deployed on military commission suggested that I enlist in Great Expectations. I said, “Yeah, maybe I should.” What a relief. I especially enjoy the Denver Singles Events at Great Expectations.

Early on, dating events were a novel thing because I’m a traditionalist of sorts. This was all really foreign to me, so much so that I got a little queasy. That faux pas couldn’t put an end to a great time. The evening was a limo pub crawl from heaven. The gems of the occasion had to be the attractive, single women.

Afterwards, I realized why so many people show up to these glorious Denver Singles Events and parties at Great Expectations, I met some great people that obviously share a like-minded spirit which made for a magnificent singles event. Can’t imagine why I used to let everyone get on my back about being single. Wonderfully enough, mingling with Great Expectations is a good time and like a dream come true.

Realizing Life Does Not End Due to Alopecia

It’s not easy to talk about, but women’s hair loss and wigs weren’t my life. Teaching was what I thought about every day. That was true till the day when I lost my hair because of alopecia. I said that I couldn’t condone the outcome of living as the shiny-headed fashion victim by sheer dumb luck.

Personally, this meant that I lost my identity, deprived of my hair. This was a sign that that it was out of my hands to get back full style. Oh, how ignorant. Way before I found my favorite real wig, I attempted a selection of itchy fake hair extensions that got my texture all wrong. My soulmate Gordon told me about respectable, medical wig websites that carried human hair wigs I could wear proudly.

Then I biked to the Internet cafe and checked it out. I found an inventory of glorious, high-class real hair wigs. Their natural lace front wigs made me so happy!

Trying on the proper hair piece, a proud individual in my place would develop courage working towards overcoming her hair loss due to cancer. I’ve never been more excited to strut main street in my new earrings. This meant the world to me to finally display my new look at the mall.

Perhaps I could be exaggerating things, however hair is integral to who I am. Could there be more to reality than a beautiful head of hair? Boy, it wouldn’t matter anyway if that were so. Its true, medical wigs offer an important option for stylish ladies who can relate.

You would not believe what wigs have felt like. No one has noticed the reality of me and wearing a wig. Nevertheless so it goes, I’m very set to to strut my stuff. Having hair again enhanced living for me and everyone who depends on me.

Shallow people could say my attitude is superficial. They have no idea. How is existing on earth so fantastic? Personally, the secret is love and my inimitable style.

Feel Good About Living.

How to Practice Creative Imagination for Problem-Solving

Engaging in creative imagination is a practice that follows a specific process. To do it successfully, keep in mind that for centuries in ancient times, it was performed as a sacred ritual, with great reverence and according to explicit rules. Today imagination is no longer considered the gift of Muses, but seen as a mental function studied by scientific research. However different our approach to it may be, the process of tapping into our creative imagination today follows exactly the same steps as in the Greek religion almost three millennia ago. The steps described below will help you complete the exercises at the end of the chapter.

1. Define the Problem With Which You Need Help. This may be a project that is not progressing, a dilemma you have a hard time resolving, a difficulty you are facing regarding the future, etc. Be specific in naming the problem. Do not make a list of issues that bother you, but write in one sentence what seems to be the problem. This may be more difficult than you think, because you may have to examine several issues troubling you until you pinpoint the one that captures the essence of your difficulty. The exercises in the previous chapters should help you pinpoint this core issue.

2. Engage in the Realm of Imagination, Invoke the Helping Figures, and Open a Dialogue. Set a specific time aside, sit in a quiet, private space, close your eyes and stay silent for a few moments. Ask gently: “Who can help me with my problem of… ?” (Describe the problem as you have defined it in the first step.) Wait in silence for a few moments, as images will appear in your mind’s eye. Continue waiting until a figure appears who calls your attention. This can be anything: a person, an animal, an object, a natural element, a color, or even a hybrid of different people or animals. Do not try to understand the way it looks, just trust your reaction when it appears: when the right figure appears, you will feel energized. That’s your hint. Allow the figure to speak. Stay quiet and write your dialogue. Write your questions, one at a time. Wait for a few moments until an answer comes up. Continue with the next question, followed by a next answer. Do not rush it. Write your entire conversation, as it happens. Throughout the process, you are free to ask questions, seek clarifications, and express opinions. Write the dialogue as it happens within your allotted time. Do not judge its content.

Note: If you have a specific figure that you wish to use as your inner guide, (e.g.: Allan’s Humphrey Bogart, Elena’s George Clooney, etc) you may just call upon that figure.

3. Read The Dialogue and Apply Common Sense to Distill Its Value. Read the dialogue carefully and see how you feel as you assess it. When the advice you receive from your inner mentor is helpful, you will feel energized and animated. Trust the body; it never lies. Also, exercise common sense to evaluate the ethical value and applicability of the advice you received. To do this, ask the questions: “If I follow this advice, will I forward my life in the direction I desire without harming myself or others? How can I make this happen considering the limitations of reality?” Examine your answers to these questions. If your body energy and common sense indicate you should follow the advice, proceed with the next step. Otherwise, ask your inner guide for more practical advice, or invoke another figure from the endless repository of your imagination, and repeat the process.

4. Take Action and Evaluate the Outcomes. Engaging in active imagination only for the pleasure of talking to inner figures becomes equivalent to daydreaming. In order to benefit from this activity, you must complete it by taking action. Once you become clear about what you must do to improve your real situation, you must act on it. Follow the examples of the movie characters and cases studies in this chapter and proceed. Only by taking action can you change your real situation. Keep evaluating your progress. Is your life improving? Are you falling into old patterns? Are you staying focused on your goals? Are you using your own advice? Are you walking the talk?

Never abdicate your personal responsibility to the power of creative imagination in solving your problems. Always keep your feet firmly grounded in reality and always check the real data when applying advice from your imaginary guides. They may offer very wise advice, but in the end, your actions in the real domain carry your name and you are accountable for them.

When Creative Inspiration is Lost

We all need inspiration at some time or other. Even the most avid photographer can enter times where the normal creative spark is simply not there. When this happens, photography can border on the routine and mundane. This is often reflected in the images that are produces which will often be less in number and poorer in content.

If you can recognise the fact that you will pass through this stage at some point in your development then you are half way to conquering the problem. The simple realisation that most photographers, even professionals, have to deal with the same issues, should help prepare you and see you through to that time that getting the intended image is almost second nature.

Why sudden lapses in creativity happen, nobody truly knows. And it is certainly not restricted to photography. Most walks of life, that demand inner resources and inspirational urges, are associated with often mind-numbing lows. You can consider it to be the equivalent to writer’s block, and it will, yes will, pass.

What can be done to help you through the more difficult time? Firstly, if the spark is not there, accept it. Go and do something else. Spend time with your friends or family, take a vacation, read a book or do some DIY. Anything but focus on your photography. Nothing is worse that riding a creative lapse only to be further depressed by the substandard work you feel you are producing.

Secondly, talk to someone about it; anyone – friends, family, online chat, discussion forums. You will inevitably meet reflected feedback that will support you through this and quite probably find that others have the same issues from time to time in their own areas of interest.

You developed your hobby for a reason. That reason has spurred you on up until now. The depth and strength of your former passion will resurface because, quite likely, photography is in your blood. Let it shine through when it wants. Once again it will fulfil you. When it does, be ready to help others through the same difficulties.

Ending Procrastination: A New Look at the Old Demon

Do you believe that the best way to deal with procrastination is to “get tough” with yourself and “just do it?” Many people take this approach. What is behind it is the sense that procrastination is essentially a character flaw, a weakness, and that the only way to deal with it is to muscle past it through sheer will. But the truth is, there is a more effective way to approach it that also happens to be much more self-respectful.

Essentially, the idea is to identify what is MOTIVATING the procrastination behavior, consider it valid, and then address THAT. For example, you may be putting off doing something because you actually do not know how to do it. The way to solve that would be to get some help. Or, perhaps you are avoiding making a particular phone call because you are afraid of the outcome. One way to address the fear is to schedule a call with someone you trust before and after the fear-inducing call, in order to have support before and after the difficult encounter.

Get the idea? Give up the character flaw idea, and look for what is really underlying the procrastination. Once you know what that is, you can usually figure out a way to deal with it, get unstuck, and get moving again.

What follows are real life examples of how two of my clients solved the problems underlying their procrastination:

PROCRASTINATION: I am not writing the letter.

PROBLEM: I want the letter to be brilliant and creative but do not feel brilliant and creative about it.

SOLUTION: “I realized it was more important for the letter to be OUT than to be brilliant. Once I decided I could write a less-than-spectacular letter, it became much easier to just sit down and do it.”

CONCEPT: Do not get it right, get it written. “Expedient” is not a dirty word. Sometimes, it serves you better to have the B+ letter out in the world already, being read, than to have the A+ letter still sitting in your word processor, unfinished, and nagging at you.

PROCRASTINATION: I am not unpacking the boxes in my new office.

PROBLEM: Boring!!

SOLUTION: “I hired my [young] daughter to unpack the boxes, shelve the books (I had to tell her where), and dismantle the boxes. She was happy to do the work and earn a little money, and she thought it was cool to help me. I was happy because we got to spend that time together AND . . . the job got done.”

CONCEPT: Delegate! If a task seems boring, it is often a good clue that this is a job to delegate. You may need to supervise or train someone to do it, but there is likely to be someone for whom the job would be a plus. Find that person and work out a deal. Delegation arrangements can be paid or bartered in infinite creative ways. Do not be stopped by failure of the imagination.

Here are the steps that you can take when tackling procrastination. Please note that each step is important. Do not under-respect any of the steps just because you think you already know how to do them. And do not underestimate how long it may take you to master some of these steps. Some people, for example, find it takes a very long time to learn how to stop judging themselves.

  1. Recognize when you are procrastinating.
  2. Notice if you are judging yourself for procrastinating.
  3. If you are judging yourself, stop. If you are not judging yourself, acknowledge yourself for that.
  4. Identify what is motivating the procrastination.
  5. Solve the problem that is underlying (motivating) the procrastination.
  6. Take the action that you no longer need to procrastinate.
  7. Say this to yourself: “Well done!”

Good luck – and let me know how this works for you!

Riding the Winds of Change

Metamorphosis – It’s a loaded word.

When we hear the word “Metamorphosis” naturally we think about a caterpillar’s change to butterfly. A caterpillar’s sole purpose is to liberate itself and experience the world from a aerial perspective. This metaphor is what every potentially self-actualized person strives to be: an independent, self-governing entity of growth and possibility.

Looked at in pieces, Meta is defined by The American Heritage® Stedman’s Medical Dictionary Copyright © 2002, 2001, 1995, as a “higher state of development.” Originating from the Greek language, the word (morph ) means “form, shape”. The suffix, osis, simply indicates a condition or process. Doesn’t mean much separately, does it? Put together, this wonderful word transforms itself: Metamorphosis is “A marked change in appearance, character, condition, or function. Also called transformation.”

It also means the big daunting “C” Word; Change.

One thing certain about Change is; without it we cannot grow. As humans, we are as capable as the caterpillar to nurture, grow and transform ourselves into a higher level of functioning but for some reason, the very idea of change trips us up. The reason: we become comfortable in what is, rather than what can be. Gaining an understanding of Change can help.

Change is what determines whether things will turn out for better or worse in the long run. Change is a verb. It is constant. It can be unpredictable and impatient. Change can be wonderful, liberating, paralyzing and completely out of our control. Change is a cliff-hanger which leaves us unglued, guessing what direction our life will be thrust in. Change is power.

Initiating even the smallest change in our lives begins with a choice, not a decision. There is a vast difference between the two. A decision is a process, it is from the mind. You only need to type the word ‘decision’ into Google to see thousands of suggested over-thought progressions to decision-making. A choice however, is from the heart. It is a superior distinction which comes from innately knowing what is in our best interest. It’s what we know to be right.

Granted, there is the possibility of making bad choices but how would one know without taking the plunge? Below are some interesting points that may help provide further insight into what Change is and what is needed to accept it:

• Death and Change are Synonymous: In the metaphysical world of Tarot Card readings, death and change are synonymous. In my investigation of Tarot card meanings I discovered an online source article written by a Tarot expert called Michelle. She explains that “the death card, card number 13 of the Major Arcana, represents change. It is about transformation, renewal, breaking free of old patterns and structures, metamorphosis, letting go and growth. Most decks illustrate this card with a skeleton, riding on a horse looking like the grim reaper. When you get this card in a reading, it means that you are about to experience a change of some sort. It is time to move on, to let go of the past and start fresh. This is not a card of sudden, cataclysmic change; it is a slower, more gradual and natural change. Change is often frightening to us, but it is a necessary and natural part of life. This card, the Death card is a positive card. I think of it as a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, or the cycles of the seasons; each has its own time and its own purpose and beauty.”

• Acceptance and Loss: A by-product of change means experiencing a loss. Similar to death, change is about ending one thing and beginning another, and part of that process is relinquishing what once was to accept what now is. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, the Author of On Death and Dying brought to light the acceptance and inevitability of change through her five stages of death: denial and isolation, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. After countless interviews with individuals who were in the process of dying she sums it up like this: “Death is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow.”

• Fear and Resistance: Resisting change is not natural, it’s intentional. Most of us get stuck in our own cocoon never wanting to burst out due to fear. In an excerpt from his new book entitled “Get What you Want” Author, Human Behavior Expert and Life Coach, Patrick Wanis sums up fear like this:

“Fear is the greatest killer of all human potential. Fear is what stops us from getting what we want. Fear stands between us and everything we want out of life.”

Fear, though does not exist.

Read that sentence again.

You might be shocked even annoyed by that statement because fear does feel real. Its physical crippling effect on our body, mind and emotions is real. But fear is not something tangible. We cannot hold it, see it or touch it. Fear is simply a thought, a very powerful thought. “Fear is the anticipation of pain, and our mind responds quickly to the alarm bell that pain is imminent or possible.”

• Courage conquers Fear: Courage lies dormant in all of us like a caterpillar in its cocoon. Remember, the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz who found his courage? Silly lion, didn’t it occur to him that he was displaying courage all along by actually choosing to seek it? A small and simple way to empower ourselves and incorporate courage into our everyday lives is by doing something we fear everyday. Challenging ourselves in this small way is liberating and enables us to burst out of our own oppressions. Therefore, with every minute decision that is second-guessed, ask yourself: Am I not doing so-and-so because I’m fearful? If the reply is yes, attempt it despite your fear and you might make a change for the better.

• Let it Go: When your choice is to move on, it is necessary to let go. By releasing yourself of a bad relationship, a past hurt or whatever, Let it go. This must be done in order to initiate change in your life. What are some things we resist letting go of? In an excerpt from a Public Service website written by James J. Messina, Ph.D. & Constance M. Messina, Ph.D., is a checklist of things worth releasing in order to openly accept change in our lives:

  • Letting Go of Guilt: Decreasing the impact of guilt as a motivator for your behavior.

  • Letting Go of Grief: Accepting the changes resulting from a loss.

  • Letting Go of Dependency: Accepting personal responsibility for your life and releasing others from their sense of responsibility to you and for you.

  • Letting Go of Over-Responsibility: Handing the responsibility to others for their lives and encouraging them to accept the consequences of their actions.

  • Letting Go of Resistance to Change: Facing the changes in your life that are the inevitable result of your being a member of the human race.

  • Letting Go of Fear: Desensitizing yourself to real or imagined stimuli that induce fear in your life.

  • Letting Go of Anger: Being able to express negative feelings in a healthy way with both your rights and the rights of others being respected and protected.

  • Letting Go of Denial: Facing life’s realities with an open, straightforward approach and accepting the natural consequences of change in your life.
  • That darn caterpillar makes it look so easy. While the caterpillar seems to go through its change effortlessly and only once in its lifetime, we are the lucky ones. We possess the power to continually make choices and flourish and transform ourselves.

It is important to master the concept that in order to grow we need to change. In order to change we need to make a choice. In order to make a choice we need to let go of fear and in order to let go of fear we need courage.

Although riding the winds of change may at times yield a few growing pains, overall it’s worth the risk. When we choose to embrace change we unburden ourselves of guilt, fear, over-responsibility, dependency and denial and we open the door of possibilities and opportunities. Opening these doors allows us to rise above our own fears and apprehension and view the world from an aerial perspective. Then we too can experience the emancipation of the butterfly.

Getting Motivated by a Motivational Speaker?

In the past years, there has been a sudden rise of motivational speakers. They appear in television and in magazines as well as sold out seminars that are just brimming with people who are just craving to get some direction with their lives.

A motivational speaker, instead of focusing on the financial gains that he or she will most probably get from these seemingly “needy” people, should focus his or her attention to actually motivating people to actually be the best that they can be through their sheer motivation to change their lives for the better that is actually inspired by such a speaker.

A motivational speaker is, most often rather should be seen as, an expert, the one person who “normal people” can rely on when it comes to instilling positive thinking in them as well as providing them not just the answers that they want to hear but the answers that they would actually need and eventually help them with their lives. Speakers are actually regarded quite highly by the people who depend on them for the “answers.”

A good motivational speaker should exude confidence (not cockiness!) by being extremely knowledgeable as compared to most people, even one’s own colleagues about a specific topic. This is what makes speakers highly in-demand especially when organizers are trying to set-up an event or a seminar that aims to educate people about a certain topic. However, a motivational speaker shouldn’t just rely on book smarts to be able to help him or her throughout his or her motivational speaker career. Various experiences can actually help enrich a speaker’s expertise and knowledge about a certain topic. This is actually that will serve the speaker on a positive note considering that the audience during seminars actually want real affirmations of what the speaker is trying to teach them. People who are in doubt need the actual proof for them to be able to motivate themselves to believe.

For those who are aspiring to become a motivational speaker, here are a few reminders from public speaking experts that you should know before actually pursuing your dream as a motivational speaker as well as being able to get the attention of the people and companies who might want to get your services :

*First and foremost, for you to be able to motivate other people and get them out of the rut that they’re in, you must have a pleasant-sounding, clear and well-modulated voice. The type of voice that a speaker should have so as to be able to command attention. This is incredibly important because as a motivational speaker, or any kind of public speaker for that matter, you must be able to get a hold of your audience’s attention and make them believe in what they’re saying (this is NOT to say that you should “brainwash” your audience into doing something that are already against their will and moral standards based on what non believers of adhering to a public speakers advice). Still, having a good voice cannot assure you of a career as a motivational speaker.

You must also have the added charisma, charm, intellect, wit and sense of humor that can make people irresistibly drawn to you. Also try to brush up on current events or whatever new information that you may see as “relevant’ to your speeches. Relating your talk to present events or things that of interest to your audience would help capture your audience’s interests more.

*As a responsible motivational speaker, you must always keep in mind that you should value your audience because these are the people who actually took the time (and money) to be able to hear out on what you’ve got to say with regards to the topic on hand. This should actually motivate you to actually showing up on the venue on time, properly dressed and groomed as well as very much prepared for your talk. A good motivational speaker should know that people actually come to these seminars to learn new things from you and not just hear about rehashed material. They expect you, the motivational speaker, to be able to supply them with the information that they’re looking for, so always be prepared.

These are just a few tips to help you get started on being a motivational speaker. Remember, when it comes to holding your audience attention you must always be yourself. Be natural in your gestures. Absolutely no pretensions because people are incredibly smart and they can actually see through those who are just putting up a front.
