Currently there are robotics competitions going on across America and almost every single major university as a robotics program along with degrees in computer sciences, robotics and artificial intelligence. There is no doubt within the next decade that the field of artificial intelligence and robotic androids will come of age. In fact currently artificial intelligence designers are trying to make business decision computers and thus your future boss could be an android. That is to say if you do not lose your job first to a robotic system in manufacturing.

Academia has assured us that we will not have to worry about robots taking over the world in causing Armageddon, but how can we be so sure? After all, right now they’re only experimenting and building prototypes. Right now all we see is unmanned aerial vehicles in the military, robotics lawnmowers and those little nifty robotic vacuum cleaners you can buy for your home. But in the future we will have robotic artificial intelligence armies, with no people. Half of the U.S. Automaker manufacturing facilities currently use robotics to build cars. All or most all car washes in the United States use robotics and more and more industries are turning towards robotics and artificial intelligence systems to run things, rather than people.

This is great for shareholders equity and quarterly profits, yet anyone who has been downsized due to the robotics efficiency probably has a different perspective on this issue. Will the human race become slaves to robotic systems? We all know that in every civilization there is a point when government gets so large and has so much control that no longer needs to people at once served. Who is to say that government will not employ robots to cut costs and save taxpayers money? At that point the robots will be running us and what if they decided we are no longer needed. Will it matter then if academia promised us that their artificial intelligent robotic research would not harm us? I dare to ask this question even though I am very pro robotics. Consider this in 2006.

Do you want to lose a weight and maybe take off a few pounds? I want to lose weight too, I think we all do and some of us more than others. Well soon you will be able to lose weight using a new technology, which will zap your fat cells using vibrational sound energy. Of course this device has not been invented yet but all the technology is available and waiting for some entrepreneur to make it a reality. You will be able to lose weight in one afternoon while simply relaxing and perhaps listening to your favorite music. How so you ask?

Well it is simple really, I propose we build a water resonance vibrational ELF device, which causes water to change in and around the fat cells and make them available to be burned up for energy as if you were exercising. To do this I propose we put an over lay machine under someone’s back molded to there exact body dimensions. Then X-ray the individual in the system on a 3D grid to tell the system where to fire the direction sound waves. This way we can do strategic strikes to take out all the fat out around the organs like a machine, which cuts a balsa wood or wax model from a Cad Cam for industrial modeling.

The molded tray would hug the body tightly and extend to the 90-degree point. The sound waves would be fired vertically where it could and at angles where it could without touching important organs of blood vessels. Once this is done the person will be put into a sauna to precipitate and sweat out all the poisons stored in the fat cells. The person would then be lighter and could go work out to get rid of the rest over the coming weeks to get really ripped and they would need to remain on the proper diet. But by losing the weight in advance they could do more strenuous work out without the knee injuries associated with being over weight.

The Goals would be 25% for women and 18% for men. One could do this on the legs too or only the legs very easily. Women would skip their breasts so they could keep them the size they wanted as not to psychologically hurt their feelings, because breasts are mostly made up of fat cells. Men who were worried about biceps getting too small too quick could do their arms only half way to tone up their arms.

This vibrational energy sound fat zapper device would be a one-shot deal. Then after the sauna they would go back for another ELF setting, which would strictly be for immune boosting to help with the rapid change of losing all that body fat at once. The individual would add years to their life in one after noon. “How old would you be if you did not know how old you are?”

Perhaps a similar process could be used to rid the body of toxins and also be used before cancer treatment to insure a stronger body that could take the treatments? My concept is to give the tissue an adjustment. I further propose that at the end of the day and for the next two days that the individual go through deep tissue massages and a regimented and supervised exercise. Just think you could be really young again. Do you like my idea or do you think I am just dreaming again? Think on it the future is near.

Whenever a person wants to present themselves as an industry expert, one credible approach is to paint a shining picture of future technology and what people can expect from hopeful visions of things to come. One potential that has long bothered me is the current general perception of artificial intelligence technology.

There are a few key concepts that are not often included in the general discussion of creating machines that think and act like us. First, the problem with artificial intelligence is that it is artificial. Trying to create machines that work like the human brain and its special creative properties has always seemed useless to me. We already have people to do all that. If we succeed in generating a system that is every bit as able as the human brain to create and solve problems, such an achievement will also result in the same limitations. There is no benefit in creating an artificial life form that can surpass us to further degrade the value of humanity. Creating machines to enhance and compliment the wonders of human thinking does have many appealing benefits. One significant plus to building artificially intelligent systems is the benefit of the teaching process. Like people, machines have to be taught what we want them to learn, but unlike us, the methods used to imprint machine instructions can be accomplished in a single pass.

Our brains allow us to selectively flush out information we do not want to retain, and are geared for a learning process based on repetition to imprint a long term memory. Machines cannot “forget” what they are taught unless they are damaged, reach their memory capacity, or they are specifically instructed to erase the information they are tasked to retain. This makes machines great candidates for performing all the tediously repetitive tasks, and storing all the information we do not want to burden ourselves with absorbing. With a little creativity, computers can be adjusted to respond to people in ways that are more pleasing to the human experience, without the need to actually replicate the processes that comprise this experience. We can already teach machines to issue polite responses, offer helpful hints, and walk us through learning processes that mimic the niceties of human interaction, without requiring machines to actually understand the nuances of what they are doing. Machines can repeat these actions because a person has programmed them to execute the instructions that offer these results. If a person wants to take the time to impress aspects of presenting their own personality into a sequence of mechanical instructions, computers can faithfully repeat these processes when called upon to do so.

In today’s market place, most software developers do not add on the extra effort that is required to make their applications seem more polite and conservatively friendly to the end users. If the commercial appeal for doing this was more apparent, more software vendors would race to jump onto this bandwagon. Since the consuming public understands so little about how computers really work, many people seem to be nervous about machines that project a personality that is too human in the flavor of its interaction with people. A computer personality is only as good as the creativity of its originator, which can be quite entertaining. For this reason, if computers with personality are to gain ground in their appeal, friendlier system design should incorporate a partnering with end users themselves in building and understanding how this artificial personality is constructed. When a new direction is needed, a person can incorporate that information into the process, and the machine learns this new aspect as well.

People can teach a computer how to cover all contingencies that arise in accomplishing a given purpose for managing information. We do not have to take ourselves out of the loop in training computers how to work with people. The goal of achieving the highest form of artificial intelligence, self-teaching computers, also reflects the highest form of human laziness. My objective in design is to accomplish a system that will do the things I want it to do, without having to deal with negotiating over what the system wants to do instead. This approach is already easier to achieve than most people think, but requires consumer interest to become more prevalent.

In the future of modern warfare battlespace situational awareness is the key. In fact as things speed up to light speed with new weaponry in the net-centric robotic wars of the future the team with the best and most accurate information stands a greater chance of survival. If you see your enemy before he sees you he is as good as dead, but if he sees you first, you could be a goner for certain.

This puts situational awareness above all. That is to say above fire-power, accuracy, training, systems, strategy and the latest technologically advanced equipment. As once you are dead it really does not matter what type of tank you are driving, how much it costs, who built it or how new the thing is you see? Since I find no one to argue this point with as it is merely stating the obvious, let me move to my next point and that is in the future fighting force both on our side and the copy cat equipment of our enemy we will have needs to detect that currently we do not have.

For instance if a tank, convoy or other piece of equipment gives off little or no heat due to excellent use of efficiency or use of another source of energy such as batteries, we will need to have sensors which can see the unseen, cloaked, invisible and ambient temperature equipment of the enemy. How can we do this?

Well we need to detect the convoys, tanks and equipment from its electromagnetic field and sense its batteries. That is technology we need right now and must put forth research dollars to making it possible to allow us to remain the leader in the net-centric battlespace situational awareness realm. Consider all this in 2006.

They say that human intention is one of the species greatest assets and indeed few who have stopped long enough to consider this and philosophize a bit could disagree. Consider also that the human body can produce energy beyond its self, about 1 watt or so can be said to come from one’s fingertips. Bid deal right?

One watt is such a small amount of energy why even consider it at all? Well it maybe a little amount of energy, but that is a significant factor as one watt of energy is enough to do some things. Like what you ask? Well like propel air movement inside an enclosed paper bag for instance. How much air and how much propulsion?

Well not much, but enough to be measured and so is it then true that you can control wind with your mind? Well indeed if that were true then yes it would be true that you could control wind or rather airflow within a small area with your mind. But we all know that all air is connected to all other air in our atmosphere right? And we have probably all heard of the butterfly affect where one small change somewhere can cause a bigger change somewhere else you see?

So if you could control the airflow inside a plastic bag could you or a group of humans control the airflow inside of a room? How about inside of a Gymnasium or Aircraft Hangar? Stadium or what about the airflows in a valley when the air was so still in the early morning? Now you see the point of why something could be interesting to study? Well so did our online think tank as we attempted to address these issues ourselves? Experimentation should be done; yes or no? Consider all this in 2006.
